What Is Spain’s Number One Beach?
The beaches in Marbella have been voted the best in Spain.
The southern strip of Spain and, in particular the Costas, is blessed with a plethora of beaches, often making the choice of a favourite difficult for holidaymakers.
However, new research from Oak Power Communications (OPC) suggests that Marbella tops the list of the many beaches in Spain.
Their study was based on the opinions of over 600 journalists from the international media who were asked to share their thoughts on the position of Spanish tourism.
The Favourite of the Rich and Famous
Marbella has long been considered the playground for the rich and famous with its glitzy marina and array of designer boutiques adorning the narrow white washed streets leading to Plaza de los Naranjos.
However, it is the two long sandy beaches backed by the impressive Avenida del Mar that has won the resort acclaim.
It is also worth noting that Marbella came third as the most fashionable and trendy city in Spain; hardly surprising considering its glamorous clientele.
Great Views and Beautiful Sand
The soft sand beaches provide the best place to relax and top up the tan whilst adorning the latest in beachwear attire.
Visitors will also find a wealth of watersport opportunities available too. Jet skis are available and of course there is a glut of boats just waiting to take eager tourists out onto the sea.
It is this range of activities and options available from the beach, not to mention the perfect sand and picturesque views available, that has made Marbella number one for many international journalists.
