Last summer Sol Melia’s Melia Marbella Dinamar changed its name to Melia Marbella Banus as part of an extensive renovation. This month, the “new” hotel has joined leading Spanish hotelier Sol Melia’s Vacation Club portfolio.
Located in Puerto Banus within the famous Golden Mile, the hotel is next to the beach and close to many of the Costa del Sol’s golf courses. Within a few minutes’ drive of Marbella’s charming old town and marina, as well as the bigger yachts moored at Puerto Banus, the hotel is very well placed for a sun, sea and sightseeing holiday.
With Malaga airport and Malaga train station a 45 minute drive away (by motorway) it’s easily accessible from Malaga yet close to the glitz and glamour of the exclusive stretch of coastline called the Golden Mile, between Marbella and Estepona.
“We are pleased to offer this new upscale location and experience for our members,” said Denis Ebrill, Executive Vice President, Sol Melia Vacation Club. “It allows us to grow and diversify our presence in Spain, adding to our four member resorts in the Canary Islands.”
Sol Melia Vacation Club members staying at Melia Marbella Banus can choose from studios for two people and one bedroom suites for up to four people to the most spacious suites, two bedrooms that sleep up to six guests.
Sol Melia Vacation Club is a leading light in the hotel and shared ownership industry. Its internationally-branded vacation membership club, based in Orlando, Florida, is part of one of Spain’s biggest leisure brands, Sol Melia Hotels & Resorts. With over fifty years experience in the hotel industry, Sol Melia runs over 350 hotels in 30 countries on five continents.
